To date I’ve not even moved the portable air conditioner from my utility room. The fan is actually nice. This unit draws 560 watts at the compressor and 5.2 amps at the compressor. This is true with any window unit. I haven’t experienced the thermostat heating from the motor. This can be a great product, the fan is effective and cools my bedroom right down. It is great as a fan it really works well, however as a cooler, it does not cool much, if you don’t have a ton of ice.
